AEO in India
The whole category here is agencies quoting ratings.
Search for answer engine optimisation in India and you get service companies with review badges. None of them explain how retrieval works, because the pitch does not require it. It is a category sold on trust signals rather than on demonstrated understanding.

The search, honestly
What ranks for this today
The national query surfaces firms in Noida, Delhi NCR and Lucknow, most leading with aggregate ratings and client counts rather than with method. Several of the pages are visibly existing SEO service copy with the acronym changed. The listicles ranking them are themselves agency-owned.
- Agencies leading with Clutch ratings and review volume
- AEO offers adapted from existing SEO pages, not built for the surface
- Listicles published by firms that appear in their own rankings
- Almost no content on vernacular or Hinglish retrieval, which India needs
The case
India has a language problem the category ignores
A meaningful share of Indian search happens in Hinglish or in a transliterated vernacular, and answer engines handle that inconsistently. Almost nothing in the Indian AEO market addresses it. There is work published here on bilingual and vernacular retrieval because clients kept hitting it.
Compliance is part of the job now
DPDP changed what an Indian marketer can do with contact data, and the EU AI Act's transparency rules reach any brand selling into Europe. Both sit inside content decisions rather than beside them, and both are covered here in detail rather than left to a legal team to discover later.
Edtech is the deepest vertical
Most of the work behind this site is edtech, where the buying decision is long, research-heavy and increasingly starts with an AI assistant. If that describes your category, the pattern transfers. If you sell something bought in thirty seconds, it mostly does not, and I would say so on a call.
Questions
Is AEO different from SEO in India specifically?
The mechanics are the same everywhere. What differs here is language mix and the share of queries that never reach a website at all. A page that ranks in English and is unreadable to an engine parsing a Hinglish question is a solved SEO problem and an unsolved AEO one.
What does this cost compared to an agency retainer?
Less than a mid-tier agency retainer and more than a freelancer charging by the article, because the deliverable is decisions and structure rather than volume. The audit that starts it is free, and it tells you whether there is enough upside to continue.
Do you work with brands outside India?
Yes. The UAE is the second market, with separate pages for it, and the published work covers the US, Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia. Market context changes the tactics; the retrieval mechanics do not.
Why should I trust a four-year practitioner over a rated agency?
You should not, on tenure. Judge it on the work: two hundred and seventy-three published posts, named client outcomes with real numbers, and an audit you can take elsewhere. If that does not beat a rating badge for you, the badge is the right choice.
Start with the audit.
What your branded search looks like today, what the assistants currently say about you, and whether there is enough upside to be worth paying for. Yours either way.
