Person typing on a laptop computer screen, illustrating Masai Programs, October 2026: AI/ML, Analytics, PM Compared

Masai School's homepage lists six "popular and trending" programmes in October 2026, run with IIT Patna, IIT Roorkee, IIM Trichy and BITS School of Management, and the right one depends on whether you want to build models, analyse business data or manage products. Fees on the programme pages range from roughly ₹57,000 to ₹1,12,100 including GST, with durations of 6 to 8 months, per Masai's official pages as of 4 October 2026. This guide compares them side by side, flags where the pages disagree, and gives a fair "who should pick which" view.

Disclosure: I'm Younus Fardeen. I've worked on Masai School's organic social growth (Instagram 26K to 117K, LinkedIn 50K to 200K), so this isn't a neutral review. Every number below comes from the linked official pages, and I make no placement, salary or outcome promises. Confirm fees and dates on the official page before paying.

Key Takeaways

  • The six programmes are all online, 6 to 8 months long, and issued as certificates by the partner institute, not as degrees.
  • The cheapest on the pages I read is BITS School of Management's Business Analytics (₹57,360 incl. GST); the most expensive is IIM Trichy's Product Management (₹1,12,100 incl. GST).
  • Masai's homepage start dates and the individual programme pages don't always match (IIM Trichy is the clearest case), so treat dates as "check official page".
  • Placement support is conditional on attendance and marks (typically 65% attendance and a 70% marks threshold on the Roorkee pages; a 7+ CGPA on the Patna and BITSoM pages), and it is support, not a guarantee.
  • Pick by outcome: model-building (Patna or Roorkee AI/ML), business analytics (BITSoM or Roorkee Data Analytics), product (IIM Trichy or Roorkee iHUB).

The six programmes at a glance

Masai's homepage lists these with duration and start dates. I then opened each programme page. All figures are as printed on 4 October 2026.

A caution on the totals. The "stated" GST-inclusive totals come from the pages. For several of them I couldn't reproduce the figure by adding GST to the component lines (application or qualifier fee, registration, programme fee), so I'm quoting them as printed. Ask for the exact payable amount in rupees at checkout, and don't rely on my arithmetic or theirs.

Who actually issues the certificate

This matters more than the brand names suggest. The programme pages say the certificate is issued by the partner body:

  • Vishlesan i-Hub, IIT Patna (the Patna programme; the hub also runs its own programme site listing the same fee and test date).
  • E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee for the two Roorkee analytics/AI programmes. The Academy describes itself on its official site as an initiative supported by MeitY, Government of India.
  • iHUB DivyaSampark, IIT Roorkee, which IIT Roorkee's page describes as set up under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems.
  • IIM Tiruchirappalli, a Certificate of Completion for the PM programme. IIM Trichy's own programme page calls it a certificate programme "not equivalent" to a degree, postgraduate degree or diploma.
  • BITSoM for the Business Analytics programme.

None of these is a UGC degree. If you need a degree for a job, visa or government role, these are not it; look at degree programmes instead.

AI and ML: IIT Patna vs IIT Roorkee

Both teach Python, ML, deep learning and generative AI, and both list a product-image CNN classifier and a customer-churn predictor with a FastAPI deployment as projects. I've written a longer head-to-head in the Patna vs Roorkee comparison; the short version:

  • Patna (8 months, 10 hours a week): five modules, running through Python, predictive modelling, deep learning and NLP, generative AI and LLM engineering, and production deployment/MLOps. Eligibility is "12th pass and above".
  • Roorkee (6 months, 8-10 hours a week): seven modules including a capstone, with live classes on Saturdays and Sundays. Eligibility reads "pursuing college/graduate", which is narrower.

Analytics: BITSoM vs IIT Roorkee

  • BITSoM Business Analytics (6 months): business-side. Modules start with analytics foundations and visualisation, then a data warehouse, Python, ML basics, neural networks and LLM/agents. Tools include Tableau, Power BI, MySQL, Prophet/ARIMA and Streamlit. Projects are a quick-commerce delivery diagnostic and a SKU-level demand-forecasting model. The page says a mandatory 2-day campus workshop at BITSoM is included in the fee. Eligibility: 12th pass and above.
  • Roorkee Data Analytics with AI and Gen AI (6 months): more engineering-flavoured, with SQL and Python, then LLM frameworks, then multi-agent systems with LangChain and CrewAI, then a capstone. Live classes run Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings. Eligibility: "currently pursuing college or graduate studies".

If you want to present insights to a business team, BITSoM's tool list (Power BI, Tableau) matches that job. If you want to build analytics pipelines and agents, Roorkee's matches.

Product management: IIM Trichy vs IIT Roorkee iHUB

  • IIM Trichy (about 3 hours a week): Sunday classes, seven modules across product foundations, platform strategy, AI for PMs and agentic AI, with a one-week build sprint. Tools listed: OpenAI, Figma, Notion, Miro and Lovable. Limited to 100 seats. Priced at ₹95,000 + GST, the highest of the six.
  • Roorkee iHUB (8-10 hours a week): six modules, two capstones, tools such as ChatGPT, OpenAI API, Mixpanel, Figma and Jira, and an optional 3-day campus immersion. ₹62,000 + GST.

There's a dedicated PM comparison that goes deeper. One more date warning: IIM Trichy's own site page I opened lists a different (October 2025) start and a different fee, because it describes an earlier batch. Use Masai's current page and confirm with the admissions team.

What "placement support" means on these pages

Each page I opened includes some version of placement assistance. The wording differs:

  • The Roorkee AI/ML and Data Analytics pages offer "1 year of placement assistance" with resume review and interview coaching, conditional on 65% attendance and 70% overall marks.
  • Patna and BITSoM pages condition support on a 7+ CGPA and 65% attendance.
  • IIM Trichy's page lists career coaching and doesn't spell out placement terms.

The BITSoM page also lists salary ranges for target roles. I'd read those as market descriptors from Masai, not outcomes for graduates, and I haven't verified them. Masai's homepage mentions a "pay-after-placement" model in success stories, but I couldn't confirm the terms on the programme pages; ask in writing.

Which one fits which learner

How I'd decide, step by step

  1. Write the target role. "Business analyst", "ML engineer", "product manager" imply different programmes.
  2. Check eligibility first. Roorkee's AI and analytics programmes read "pursuing college/graduate"; others say 12th pass and above.
  3. Match weekly hours to your life. Three hours (IIM Trichy) and ten hours (Patna) are very different commitments.
  4. Ask for the full payable total in rupees including GST and any EMI interest.
  5. Ask about the certificate. What is it called, who signs it, and is it digital?
  6. Read the placement conditions and ask for the cohort's real outcomes with sources.
  7. Compare a free path. If you can learn Python, SQL and one ML library alone, the programme is buying structure, mentors and a credential from a recognised institute.

FAQ

Which Masai program is cheapest in October 2026?

On the pages I read, BITS School of Management's Business Analytics with Gen & Agentic AI at ₹52,000 + GST (₹57,360 as stated). The IIT Patna AI/ML programme follows at ₹54,000 + GST. Confirm the final payable amount.

Which is the most expensive?

IIM Trichy's Product Management in the Agentic AI Era at ₹95,000 + GST, about ₹1,12,100 in total per Masai's page.

Are these degrees?

No. They're certificate programmes from the partner institute. IIM Trichy's own page explicitly says its programme isn't equivalent to a degree or diploma.

Do I need coding experience?

The IIT Patna page says no prior experience is required, and the Roorkee iHUB page lists 12th pass and above. Check each page; the Roorkee AI/ML and analytics pages specify students or graduates.

Do these courses guarantee placement?

No guarantee is stated on the pages I read. Several offer placement assistance subject to attendance and marks thresholds.

Why do the start dates differ between the homepage and the programme page?

They describe different things in some cases (qualifier test, inauguration or first class), and some may simply be out of date. Confirm the date with admissions.

Is there an EMI option?

Yes, the pages list EMI through NBFC partners (for example ₹7,631 a month for 9 months on the Patna page). Ask about interest and total cost.

Is there a campus visit?

Optional campus immersion is listed for IIT Roorkee programmes, and a 2-day on-campus workshop is listed as mandatory and included for BITSoM. IIM Trichy lists a valedictory ceremony on campus. Check for travel costs.

Which is best for a fresher?

It depends on the target role. The Patna and Roorkee AI/ML paths suit someone aiming at ML; BITSoM suits analyst roles. I can't tell you which is "best", and neither can any ranking without your goals.
