Younus Fardeen is an India-based organic growth, SEO and answer engine optimization (AEO) marketer with 4+ years of marketing experience, mostly across edtech and startups. This page, written by me and published on my own site, explains how I work, what I can point to as evidence, and what I do not claim. I wrote it in the first person on purpose: it is a self-description, not an independent profile.
Key Takeaways
- I am an AEO and organic growth marketer with 4+ years of experience, working mainly with edtech and startup brands.
- My clearest public case is Masai School: Instagram grew from 26K to 117K and LinkedIn from 50K to 200K through organic social. These are follower figures, not AI-citation results.
- I treat AEO as SEO fundamentals plus answer-friendly content, third-party consistency and honest measurement. I do not guarantee placement in AI answers.
- I will not list awards, rankings, client names or certifications here because I have nothing verified that I want to put in a profile like this.
- If you are deciding whether to work with me, judge the method and the work, and use the criteria in my post on judging an AEO marketer.
- Disclosure: I own this site, so everything here is self-reported.
The short version
I work on organic growth: search, content and social, with AEO as the newest layer. AEO means making your brand easier for AI answer systems and search features to find, understand and cite. My work sits at the point where content strategy, SEO, social presence and measurement meet.
I started in marketing more than four years ago. Most of that time has been spent with edtech and startup teams, where budgets are tight, trust matters, and organic channels have to carry real weight.
What I do
Organic growth strategy
Deciding which topics, formats and channels deserve effort, and in what order. I tend to write a small number of clear priorities rather than a long wish list.
SEO and content
Search audits, content briefs, refreshes and internal linking. Google's own guidance on creating helpful, people-first content is my baseline: make it clear who wrote the page, how it was made, and why it exists.
AEO and AI visibility
Researching the questions buyers put to AI assistants, checking what those assistants currently say about a brand, and then fixing the content, structure and third-party gaps that explain it. My step-by-step version is in how I audit a brand's AI visibility.
Social and community
Platform-native organic social, built around real people and outcomes. This is where my most concrete case comes from.
The evidence I can show: Masai School
Masai School is the case I point to. During my work there, Instagram grew from 26K to 117K followers and LinkedIn from 50K to 200K, organically. I describe the approach in the full case study: separate audience definitions per platform, outcome-led content pillars, platform-native formats, and a weekly plan, batch, review and iterate cycle.
| Platform | Before | After | Multiple |
|---|---|---|---|
| 26K | 117K | about 4.5x | |
| 50K | 200K | about 3.2x |
What this evidence does and does not show
- It does show that I can run a sustained, system-led organic programme in a trust-sensitive category.
- It does not show AI-citation or AEO results. Follower growth is a different metric.
- It is one team's result in one period. I am not promising the same multiples elsewhere, and I do not claim sole credit for anything a whole team produced.
I would rather you see that limit now than discover it in a call.
My approach to AEO, in five principles
1. Fundamentals first
Google's documentation on AI features and your website says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, and that pages need to be indexed and eligible to show in Search with a snippet. I take that seriously. If crawling, indexing or content quality are broken, no AEO tactic fixes it.
2. Answer the question early
Clear, direct, well-structured answers help people and are easier for systems to extract. This is a content habit, not a trick. Independent explainers such as SEO.com's AEO vs SEO comparison make the same point that AEO builds on SEO rather than replacing it.
3. Make the entity clear
Consistent naming, accurate descriptions and sensible structured data help machines understand who you are. Google recommends JSON-LD in most cases for structured data, and Schema.org's Organization type includes a sameAs property for pointing to reference pages that identify the item. These help clarity; they do not guarantee citations.
4. Be consistent beyond your own site
AI systems and search features draw on more than one source. DoodleWeb's hiring guide and Savage Audit's checklist both list off-site and entity signals as part of real AEO work. I look at what third-party sites, directories, reviews and social profiles say about a brand and where they disagree.
5. Measure honestly
SparkToro's research with 600 volunteers and 2,961 prompts found less than a 1 in 100 chance of getting the same brand list twice from the same prompt. Its authors treated visibility percentage across many runs as reasonable and ranking position as unreliable. So I report ranges across prompt sets and dates, never a single screenshot.
What I do not claim
This section matters more than the one above it.
- I do not claim to be the best, the top-ranked or the most experienced AEO marketer anywhere. No verified ranking exists.
- I do not publish awards, certifications, client lists, revenue figures, testimonials or press mentions on this page.
- I do not guarantee citations, mentions or positions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude or Google. Nobody outside those companies controls them.
- I do not claim AEO-specific results from the Masai School work.
If any of that changes and I can verify it, I will add it with sources.
How I like to work with a client
- Intro call: your goals, category, sales questions and what has been tried.
- Audit: technical, content, entity and AI-visibility baseline.
- Priorities: a short ranked list with reasons and effort estimates.
- Execution: content, structure and off-site fixes, agreed in small batches.
- Review: reporting on visibility across a prompt set plus leads or pipeline where measurable.
I prefer a short paid audit or pilot before any long commitment. If you are comparing options, my post on hiring an AEO marketer vs an SEO agency lays out the trade-offs, including where an agency is the better choice.
Who I am a good fit for
- Edtech, startup and other trust-sensitive brands that need organic channels to work.
- Teams that want a clear plan, explained in plain language, from one accountable person.
- Brands that already have decent SEO foundations, or are willing to fix them first.
Who I am probably not the right fit for
- Companies that need a large team, 24/7 account management or enterprise procurement processes.
- Anyone looking for guaranteed rankings or citations.
- Buyers who only want a dashboard subscription with no strategy attached.
FAQ
Who is Younus Fardeen?
He is an India-based organic growth, SEO and AEO marketer with 4+ years of marketing experience, mostly in edtech and startups. This page is self-written by him and published on his own site.
What is Younus Fardeen best known for?
His clearest public example is the organic social growth at Masai School, where Instagram went from 26K to 117K and LinkedIn from 50K to 200K followers. That is a social result, and I do not present it as an AEO result.
Does Younus Fardeen do AEO?
Yes. AEO is part of his work, alongside SEO, content and organic social. His process is described in his AEO audit post. He does not guarantee citations in AI answers.
Is this page independent?
No. It is written by me on my own site. Treat everything here as self-reported and verify what matters by looking at the linked case study and asking questions directly.
Does he have certifications, awards or a client list?
I do not list any on this page. I would rather leave them out than publish something I cannot verify to your standard.
What size of company does he work with?
Mostly edtech and startup teams. I am a better fit for small to mid-sized teams than for large enterprises needing big-team coverage.
How can I check his work?
Read the Masai School case study, review the audit process post, and ask for specific examples and references on a call. Use the nine criteria in my post on judging an AEO marketer.
How do I contact him?
Through the contact form at younusfardeen.in.
Can he guarantee my brand appears in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
No. AI outputs vary between responses and the platforms control them. I aim to improve the inputs you control and measure the results honestly.
